Getting Ready to Move to El Paso

I need to figure out where I am going to live and who I am going to get to provide me with the basics when I get to El Paso. I got a job working with the Border Patrol there, which of course is big business in El Paso. I have to learn more about stuff like who has the electric power down there and where you can go to get your internet hooked up. I figure that I can keep the same direct tv package that I have right now. It is all a matter of taking the satellite dish down and hooking it up when I get down there. I am guessing that I may as well buy a spool of RG 34 or RG 42 cable. I forgot which one you use for satellite tv, but I will look it up and buy some before I get down to where I am going to live.

Of course if you do not know anything about El Paso you might think it is like any other town on the border, but the truth is that El Paso is directly across from Ciudad Juarez and that town is pretty much under the control of the Mexican drug cartels. If it were just one of them then it would probably be better, but you have different drug cartels fighting one another and they do a great deal of killing. In fact you can look on wikipedia and see that there is an article about femicide or the killing of women in that city. Much of it is related to the drug trade, but the big thing is that there is just not a real law and order in control of that city. The place is just totally beyond the control of the state.

Why Not Try It in the Ocean?

I know that there are a lot of people that say that they like the idea of protecting the ocean and I agree but I also think that things that can help support our communications needs could be used in the ocean. For example, offshore hosting can be very easy if we just put a few satellites that are transponders out in the water, it would be no more harmful than a bridge support in the middle of a body of water and I think that it would be able to help a lot of people that are worried about what harm can come from when a cell tower is put up near their home. Locating the Right Office Space for Your Business

Finding the best office rental singapore has to offer is not an easy task. Not only is budget obviously a factor, but you almost certainly want to find a space that is a good match for your business. To start, it is important to do your research so that you know the ins and outs of the local area. Is there a certain area of town that is not as attractive to customers as others? If so, you obviously want to stay away and rent somewhere else. Look through market reports and pay attention to both net absorption and vacancy rates. Make sure, though, not to put too much stock in market reports. They are helpful, but they just touch at the surface of the real estate market.

Be realistic with yourself when it comes to what you need. Think about expansion; while you may just need a small space right now, where do you expect to be in five or ten years? Some businesses may stay relatively the same while others could have huge growth. Also, do you have a staff working for you? When selecting the location of your office, make sure you think about where they are coming from and how long they will have to travel. While you obviously want things to be convenient for you, you also don’t want to lose a good employee because the location of the office makes for a hard commute.

After you have a few rental spaces in mind, sit down and really compare and contrast the properties. Look at things like the rent, the appearance of the building in general and the location. Making a final decision will be hard, but as long as you do it carefully, you should be happy for years to come in your new business space.

Did Some Charity Work This Weekend

My motives were not entirely self less. I intended to get something out of it, although it will not come back to me until it is time for my taxes to be paid next year. Since I started running my own business I have become more and more acutely aware of what I pay in taxes. In fact I used to do a lot of simple jobs that I no longer do, or at least I will not do them on the book. Say for instance you want to have your plantation shutters taken down and replaced. It is a nothing job that you could do with no help from me, but you might have better things to do with your time. (more…)
