My father is a very stubborn man, and even though he is close to 90 years old, he refuses to leave his house, and claims that he will always live in his house, so long as he is still alive. I can’t convince him otherwise, and for awhile, I was at a loss, as to what I should do. However, I have an idea now, and I would like to look into senior home care in brooklyn ny and the prices for such service. I imagine it is going to be fairly expensive, due to the nature of the work, but it is probably going to be worth it, because I would hate for anything bad to happen to my father.
I know that having home care, will greatly reduce the risk of my father falling, and then not being discovered, while he is unable to get up. I know that a lot of elderly people end up dying in such situations, because they fall, are unable to stand back up, and are unable to get help. It is sad to think about, but it is the reality of the situation.
I couldn’t bear it, if something like that happened to my father. I know that he is going to die eventually, but I want to have as much time with him as possible. When I was younger, my father spent a lot of time away from home, due to his job, and I really missed out on a lot of quality time with him. His mind is still sharp though, and I am hoping to make up for as much of that time, as I can, before it is his time. I think he has it in him to make it to 100 years old, but his chances will be increased with home care.
